Abi Muhtari was born on November 1st, 1964 in Gostivar, North Macedonia. He holds citizenship of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Switzerland. He is married and a father of four children. Abi is an entrepreneur and the owner of a Full-Service-Marketing-Agency based in Schlieren, Switzerland.

Since 1967 he has been living in Sarajevo, where he attended primary and secondary school. From 1984 to 1995 he served in the military in the Yugoslav People’s Army (JNA) in Bela Crkva.

Due to the political situation in the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (SFRJ), he moved to Belgium in 1986 where he worked in the emergency services in the city of Ghent.

In 1990 he moved to Switzerland and started working as a consultant in legal protection insurance for “ARAG” and soon became the regional sales manager for Eastern Switzerland.

In September 1997 he successfully graduated as a multimedia and brand designer in St. Gallen, Switzerland.

In October 1998, Muhtari founded his first marketing agency “Xmedia Design” which evolved into a successful Full-Service-Marketing-Agency after a few years. In May 2008 the agency relocated its headquarters to Zurich.

Muhtari is an award-winning designer, brand manager and interactive media designer, uniquely combining the practical and aestetical aspects of art.

  • Co-founder of the “Helvetic Southeast Europe Study Institute” in Switzerland.
  • Co-founder and board member of the “Bosniak National Foundation” in Switzerland.
  • Board member for the construction of the first Islamic center “MOSCHEE WIL” in Wil SG, Switzerland.

  • Founder and first president of the humanitarian organization “Lirija” in Uzwil, Switzerland.
  • Board member of the “Dialogue Center EDEN” in Aarau, Switzerland.
  • President of the board of the “Albanian Cultural Center in Sarajevo”.
  • Head of marketing and communications for the Bosnian Academy of Sciences and Arts “Kulin ban”.
  • On April 24, 2023, he was elected as an honorary member of the Bosnian Academy of Sciences and Arts “Kulin ban”

After these significant accomplishments, Abi Muhtari continues to engage in social and business activities leaving a positive impact in various fields of art, marketing, and social work.
